CCIR

Committee Consulat International Radiotelegraphique. This is a standards committee of the International Telecommunications Union, who have made the technical recommendation for European 625 line standard for video signals.

International Radio Consultative Committee, was a global organization responsible for establishing television standards. CCIR 601 was the standard for transmitting Digital Video Component information that is recorded by the D1 machine. The CCIR has now become the ITU.
